Today's trending searches, as rows

The Google Trending Now API returns the searches trending in a country right now: about 298 per call in our test, each with search volume, growth, start time and whether it's still trending. You don't send a keyword, only a country. One call costs €0.0015, which works out to about half a thousandth of a cent per trend. Every other source is on our all data APIs and prices page. Set your country once, and every run's trending list is saved in your Scrapewise account for the table, Excel, your AI assistant or the API.

We pulled the US list for the past 24 hours on 16 September 2026. "dancing with the stars" led with 500,000 searches, up 1,000%, and carried 85 related searches of its own. 57 of the 298 trends were still active. The other 241 had already ended, and each ended one has an end time.

One row from that list is a good example for sellers: "pokemon 30th anniversary" at 10,000 searches, with related searches like "target pokemon drop" and "target pokemon cards". If you resell collectibles, that's a heads-up about a product drop, from one call.

Every other Trends API on our site starts with a keyword you already have in mind. This one tells you what to think about. When a trend catches your eye, run it through the Google Trends API to see its history and where it's hot.

Who watches what's trending

  • YouTube and TikTok creators

Same-day videos on a rising trend get found by the people searching for it. Pull the list every few hours and act on the ones in your niche.

  • Deal and news pages

Facebook deal groups and small news sites live on timing. A trend with no end time is still being searched, so a post about it can still catch readers.

  • Resellers and online shops

Product launches, restocks and store drops show up as trends. Watch for brand and product names and move before the listings flood in.

How it works

  1. Pick a country

Enter a two-letter code, such as US, GB or DE. The default window is the past 24 hours. Change the hours setting for a shorter or longer look back.

  2. Schedule it daily

Each run saves the full list with its date, so you see which trends are new since yesterday.

  3. Filter the list

Sort by search volume in the table or Excel, pull rows by API, or ask your AI assistant: 'which trends in the shopping category started today?'

Set it up once. The data keeps coming.

Save your search once and it runs by itself. Every run lands in your own Scrapewise database, and you pick how to read it.

  1. Set it up once

Add your ASINs, keywords, places or apps to a scraper in the web app. New accounts get 5 free requests.

  2. Runs on your schedule

Pick daily, weekly on the days you choose, every few days, or the first or last day of the month. Scheduled runs start at night, European time. Need it more often? Start runs from your own code.

  3. Saved in your database

Each run adds dated rows, so this week sits next to last week. Rows are kept for 90 days.

  4. Use it your way

Open the table in the web app and download the latest run as an Excel file. Ask your own AI assistant about it. Or pull the rows into your code with an API key.

Ask your AI assistant about your own data

Connect Claude Desktop, Claude Code or another MCP app with a read-only key. The assistant reads the rows you've already collected, at no extra cost on Scrapewise. With a full-access key it can start a run for you too.

  • Which of my ASINs lost the Buy Box this week?
  • Which competitor cut prices the most since Monday?
  • Show the keywords where I dropped out of the top 10.

What you send and what you get back

What each column means

Columns starting with sw are shared across Scrapewise data APIs. The rest are Trending Now fields.

How big and how fast

search volume is Google's rounded count of searches, like 500000. growth percentage is how much it grew, like 1000. sw rating count is empty here, because trends don't have ratings.

Is it still trending?

status is active or ended. started at and ended at are Unix timestamps, and an empty ended at means the trend is still going. sw published at gives the start time as an ISO date.

What creators and sellers do with trending data

01

Post while it's rising

Pull the list every 2 hours, filter to your category, and post on anything new with status active. That's 360 calls a month, €0.54.

02

Catch product fads early

Watch for brand, toy, game or gadget names entering the list. Their related searches often name the store, as "target pokemon drop" did.

03

Plan today's short video

Take the 3 biggest trends with no end time that fit your channel and make one quick video on each.

04

Time a promotion

When a big game or TV final trends in your country, a flash sale tied to it lands while people are paying attention.

05

Find the words people use

Each trend comes with its related searches. Use them in titles and hashtags so your post matches what people type.
