Everything Google shows when a shopper opens one product

The Google Shopping product API opens one product on Google Shopping and returns it as a single row. You get the stores selling it with their price, original price, discount, shipping note, rating and a direct link to each store's page. You also get up to 8 more options: other versions and similar products Google shows next to it, each with a price and its own product ID. One call costs €0.0015, so 1,000 products cost €1.50. Every other source and price is on our page of all data APIs and prices. Save the catalog IDs once, and each run's product rows are stored in your Scrapewise account for the table, Excel, your AI assistant or the API.

A Google Shopping search shows one offer per product. This call is the next step. When a shopper clicks the product, Google lists the stores side by side and marks one with a tag like Best price. That list is what decides where the shopper buys, and it's what you get here, in order, with numbers you can sort.

You need the catalog ID to call it. It comes straight from a row of the Google Shopping API, so the usual flow is search first, then open the products you care about. If a product has more stores than fit on the first page, the row includes a token you pass to the Google Shopping stores API for the next page.

Who uses the Google Shopping product API

  • Online store owners

Open your own product on Google Shopping and see the stores listed with you, in the order Google shows them, and which one gets the Best price tag.

  • Catalog and category managers

Check the options Google groups around a product. The more options columns show the other versions and similar items a shopper sees, with prices.

  • Resellers and sourcing buyers

Find the cheapest store for an item including shipping, with a link straight to that store's page.

  • Brand owners

Check who sells a hero product, at what price and at what discount, one product at a time.

How it works

  1. Find the catalog IDs

Run the Google Shopping API for a keyword. Each result row has a catalog ID. Save the IDs you care about in a scraper.

  2. Check them on a schedule

Each product is one call at €0.0015, with an optional country and language. Schedule it weekly and every run is saved with its date.

  3. Use the rows

Open the rows in the table or Excel, pull them by API, or ask your AI assistant: 'how did the lowest price for this product change over the month?' If the store list goes on, pass the page token to the stores API.

Set it up once. The data keeps coming.

Save your search once and it runs by itself. Every run lands in your own Scrapewise database, and you pick how to read it.

  1. Set it up once

Add your ASINs, keywords, places or apps to a scraper in the web app. New accounts get 5 free requests.

  2. Runs on your schedule

Pick daily, weekly on the days you choose, every few days, or the first or last day of the month. Scheduled runs start at night, European time. Need it more often? Start runs from your own code.

  3. Saved in your database

Each run adds dated rows, so this week sits next to last week. Rows are kept for 90 days.

  4. Use it your way

Open the table in the web app and download the latest run as an Excel file. Ask your own AI assistant about it. Or pull the rows into your code with an API key.

Ask your AI assistant about your own data

Connect Claude Desktop, Claude Code or another MCP app with a read-only key. The assistant reads the rows you've already collected, at no extra cost on Scrapewise. With a full-access key it can start a run for you too.

  • Which of my ASINs lost the Buy Box this week?
  • Which competitor cut prices the most since Monday?
  • Show the keywords where I dropped out of the top 10.

Column guide

This API returns one wide row per product. Stores and options are numbered from 0, so stores[0] is the first store Google lists and more_options[0] is the first extra option. The sw columns (shown as sw price, sw seller and so on) carry the first store's price and name, with the same names as on every Scrapewise data API.

Standard columns shared with every API

sw title is the product name, sw external id is the catalog ID, sw price and sw seller come from the first store, and sw locale is the language and country used.

What sellers do with Google Shopping product data

01

See who gets the Best price tag

The tag column on each store shows labels like Best price. Check your top 100 products weekly and note when a competitor takes the tag from you.

02

Find the real cheapest offer

Compare the extracted price and the shipping note for each store. A $45.59 offer with free delivery can beat a $39.99 one with $6.99 shipping.

03

Track discounts by store

The original price, old price and discount columns show who is marking the product down and by how much. In our sample, one store shows 34% off.

04

Map the options around your product

The more options columns list up to 8 other versions and similar products with their price and product ID. Those are the alternatives a shopper sees before they pick yours.

05

Get store links for outreach or checks

Each store comes with a direct link to its product page and a merchant ID, so you can open the listing or match the same store across products.

Why sellers pick this API

  • The store list as shoppers see it

Stores come in Google's order with its tags, so you see what a shopper sees when they open the product.

  • Shipping and discounts as numbers

Price, shipping, total and old price come as plain numbers next to the text, ready to sort in a sheet.

  • One row per product

All stores and options sit in one row, so one product check is one line in your sheet and one €0.0015 call.
